The U21 team originated from the very first U10 Broxburn Colts team which was formed back in 1989 by Jim Gardner and Billy Preston.Jim and Billy took the team up through the various age groups i.e., U10 through to U16 and played in the West Lothian Leagues throughout that time.The team then moved up to the U18 age group and entered the East of Scotland YFA where they have played ever since.The U18 team were the first to take on the name of Broxburn Athletic Colts (with the permission of Broxburn Athletic F. C.) and spent two seasons at that age group before advancing to U21 level in season 1998/99.They then became the first ever Broxburn Athletic Colts U21 team and season 2008/09 will be the team's 11th season at U21 level.
